During winter quarter two sections of Graphic Design juniors worked on an Information Design form redesign project with Professor Deborah Beardslee and NeighborWorks Rochester, an non-profit community development organization that focuses on improving city neighborhoods through a range of housing initiatives. Classes traveled to meet and discuss this project on-site at the organization. Final form designs were evaluated and selected by NW staff and an extension of the original class project now continues as an independent study into spring quarter between student Darom Jeong and Professor Deborah Beardslee. This initiative is providing an excellent “real life” student experience and much appreciated design contribution for important non-profit community goals and objectives.
