Students in Professor Deborah Beardslee’s Information Design classes this fall worked with two different local community clients on a forms redesign problem.
The project entailed several meetings and site visits with clients to understand and analyze their needs, and possible improvements, for the forms they are currently using in-house. These information design projects were great “real life” experiences – and nice opportunities for design students to get involved, share their talents, and make a difference!
Information Design 01 Students worked with Adrienne Furness, Director of the Henrietta Public Library in Henrietta. Mark Remington’s form redesign system was chosen for actual implementation at the Library! Students Casira Copes, Rebecca Wolinski and Julia Takatsuka were runners-up.
